Julia Child’s Boeuf Bourguignon

I love Julia Child’s recipes, particularly her Boeuf Bourguignon which is such a wonderful mouth-watering French classic. Julia Child (August 15, 1912 – August 13, 2004) was an American chef, author, and television personality who Mastered the Art of French Cooking at the famous Le Cordon Bleu cooking school in Paris, France. Apart from Julia Child, many other world renowned Chefs have studied at Le Cordon Bleu such as Rachel Khoo (The Little Paris Kitchen), Kelis (singer and chef), Mario Batali, Ming Tsai, and more. Julie and JuliaI first heard of Julia Child when I saw the movie Julie and Julia which is a true story about the “life of chef Julia Child in the early years of her culinary career with the life of young New Yorker Julie Powell, who aspires to cook all 524 recipes in Child’s cookbook in 365 days, a challenge she described on her popular blog that would make her a published author”. A fabulous and inspiring comedy; even my husband was laughing and enjoying it.

Julia Child’s Boeuf Bourguignon, one of Child’s signature dishes, is the very last recipe Julie Powell attempts to cook in the movie.
